ATM Access/P2P/Debit Card Services

Use your Commercial Bank & Trust of PA Check Card or STAR® card to check your balances, transfer funds, deposit or withdraw cash 24 hours a day at ATMs everywhere. Also, use it like cash to draft amounts directly from your checking account for purchases wherever you see the STAR® or MasterCard logo.

To report a lost or stolen ATM or Debit Card between 8 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, call 724-539-3501. To report a lost or stolen ATM or Debit Card on Holidays, weekends, or after normal business hours, call 1-800-523-4175.


*NOTE: Other agencies may charge an additional fee for use of their ATMs. The fee is deducted from your account automatically.

Debit Alerts

What is Debit Card Alert?

Debit Alerts is a program that allows you, the consumer cardholder, to enroll to have text messages sent to your phone whenever certain transaction types, that you have selected, are performed on your debit card.

The Bank does not charge for use of the Service, however, your wireless carrier may charge you for messages you receive as a result of using the Service. You should contact your carrier for complete pricing details.
 

How does the Debit Card Alert program work?

Once you have registered your debit card, you will be prompted to set what transaction types you would like to be alerted of:
 
  • Purchases (Pinned)
  • Authorization (Signature)
  • International Transactions
  • Online Activity
  • Declined Transactions
You may maintenance your selections, change your thresholds, and change/add phone numbers at any time.
 

How will the Debit Alert program protect you?

Once you have registered, you will be able to select your minimum transaction threshold* that you would like to be notified of. If a transaction exceeds this threshold, you will receive a text message notifying you of the transaction**. This way, you will be alerted of any transaction above your set threshold. If you did not authorize that particular transaction, you should contact us immediately to report that your card has been compromised.

*Remember, you are setting a minimum threshold, so if you want to be notified of any transaction performed that is $25 or greater, you must set your threshold at $24.

**Alerts are sent in Central Standard Time. Transactions will show one hour difference. For example, if it is 3pm Eastern Standard Time (EST), the alert will show as 2pm Central Standard Time (CST).

P2P

What is P2P (Person to Person)?

P2P is an application where consumer cardholders, aged 18 and older, can safely send money, online from their checking account, using their debit card number with their personal identification number (PIN).

Funds may be transferred to any account in the United States, as long as the Transfer is legal and allowed by the financial institutions involved, simply by entering the recipient’s email or mobile telephone number.

The recipient can accept the funds as follows:

Debit Card: By accepting funds through their debit card, the Bank Identification Number (BIN) associated with this participant must route through one of these six Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) networks: (Star, Pulse, Accel, Shazam, Culiance (formerly CU24), or NYCE). Once accepted the credit is immediate.

Checking Account: By accepting funds through their checking account number, the funds are sent via Automated Clearing House (ACH) and may take 2-4 days before the credit is available.
